Let A be finite dimensional algebra over the reals R. A is said to be commutative if ∀x, y xy = yx. The it is customary to introduce for x, y ∈ A the quantity C(x, y) =: [x, y] =: xy − yx, called the commutator. Similarly, one says that A is associative if ∀x, y, z x(yz) = y(xz). In this case one introduces, similarly or x, y ∈ A the quantity A(x, y, z) =: [x, y, z] =: x(yz)− y(xz), called the associator.

In this paper we study almost uniserial rings and modules. An R−module M is called almost uniserial if any two nonisomorphic submodules are linearly ordered by inclusion. We present the real matrix representations for complex octonions and some of their properties which can be used in computations where these elements are involved. Moreover, we give a set of invertible elements in split quaternion algebras and in split octonion algebras.
